Diego Godin: 'I'm not leaving Atletico Madrid'

Atletico Madrid centre-back Diego Godin claims that he will 'fulfil his contract' at the Vicente Calderon.

Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin has insisted that he is not looking to leave the Spanish champions.

The Uruguay international is widely regarded as one of the best centre-backs in European football, with Manchester United said to be huge admirers.

However, Godin has said that he will 'fulfil his contract' at the Vicente Calderon, which runs until 2018.

"I have a contract until 2018. I'm at Atlético and I will fulfil my contract," he told Uruguayan radio programme Embajadores del Gol.

The 28-year-old's current deal is believed to have a £28.5m buy-out clause.
