David de Gea is determined to reclaim the number one goalkeeping spot at Manchester United, according to a report.

David de Gea reportedly has no plans to leave Manchester United during this summer's transfer window and is determined to fight for his place during the 2021-22 campaign.

The Spain international lost the number one spot to Dean Henderson in the latter stages of last season but was given the nod between the sticks for the Europa League final.

Henderson's own future at Old Trafford is far from secure, though, and Man United have already signed another goalkeeper this summer, bringing Tom Heaton back to the club.

Either De Gea or Henderson are expected to be on the move this summer, but according to The Times, the former Atletico Madrid youngster is desperate to regain his spot as the club's number one.

The report claims that the Spaniard is not even entertaining the idea of moving on, as he still has two years left to run on his contract, which is worth in the region of £375,000 a week.

De Gea, who has not been used by his country at this summer's European Championship, has made 441 appearances for Man United since arriving from Atletico in 2011.
