Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot has reportedly emerged as a potential replacement for Kieran Trippier at Atletico Madrid.
Earlier this month, Trippier, a key man at Wanda Metropolitano, linked up with Newcastle United, a consequence of less than six months remaining on his contract.
Atletico are now in the market for an alternative and are allegedly attempting to get a deal for Valencia's Daniel Wass over the line.
However, according to AS, the La Liga giants have several backup options, including Portugal international Dalot.
The 22-year-old has made just seven starts for United in all competitions, although five of them have come since the beginning of December.
While United are unlikely to contemplate a sale at the midway point of the campaign, Dalot has just 18 months remaining on his contract at Old Trafford.
Juventus' Mattia De Sciglio and Red Bull Salzburg's Rasmus Kristensen are also said to be under consideration by Atletico.
