Manchester City reportedly have no interest in signing Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes during the summer transfer window.

Manchester City have reportedly shown no interest in signing Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes, contrary to previous claims.

The Portugal international has contributed 19 goals and 13 assists from 31 league outings this season, and it has resulted in speculation regarding the 24-year-old's future.

City have been one of the clubs who have been linked with an approach for Fernandes, but the Manchester Evening News claims that the Premier League giants are not looking to win the race for the playmaker's signature.

Sources have allegedly told the outlet that Pep Guardiola is not looking at the creative midfielder, with no contact being made with Sporting in recent months.

Manchester United are said to have identified Fernandes as a potential addition during the next transfer window.
