Manchester United will reportedly have to fend off interest from Chelsea and Liverpool to secure the services of RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate.
Having failed to bring in a new centre-back in the past two transfer windows, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will supposedly prioritise that position in the summer.
The Red Devils were linked with a move for Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano before he agreed a move to Bayern Munich, while Sevilla's Jules Kounde is also thought to be on Solskjaer's radar.
Man United have been credited with an interest in Upamecano's teammate Konate, but according to Bild, Chelsea and Liverpool are all keeping a close eye on the situation as well.
All three Premier League powerhouses were linked with a move for Upamecano, and the report claims that Konate is United's next defensive target after they missed out on his compatriot.
The 21-year-old is under contract at Leipzig until the end of the 2022-23 campaign, but he is understood to possess a €45m (£39m) release clause in his deal, which becomes active this summer.
