Bournemouth have no intention of parting ways with Dominic Solanke on transfer deadline day despite the impending arrival of Enes Unal from Getafe, according to a report.

Bournemouth have no intention of parting ways with Dominic Solanke on transfer deadline day despite the impending arrival of Enes Unal from Getafe, according to a report.

The Cherries are yet to make a single signing, at the time of writing, in the winter window, but they appear to be close to recruiting their first player in the form of Turkey international Unal.

A recent report claims that Bournemouth have reached an agreement with Getafe to sign the 23-year-old striker on an initial loan for the remainder of the season.

The agreement is said to include an obligation to buy for €16.5m (£14.1m) which will make Unal's move to the Vitality Stadium permanent in the summer.

Unal is understood to be undergoing his medical in Madrid ahead of bidding farewell to a Getafe side where he has scored 36 goals in 109 appearances over a three-and-a-half-year period.

Following a seven-month spell on the sidelines with an ACL injury, Unal has since struggled to displace Getafe's top scorer Borja Mayoral in the starting lineup this season and has been reduced to just five appearances in all competitions.

Unal is hoping to quickly establish himself as a first-team regular at Bournemouth, with head coach Andoni Iraola keen to see the former Manchester City youngster provide competition for Cherries talisman Solanke.

According to The Mirror, Bournemouth's addition of Unal has no impact on Solanke's future, and the club have no intention of letting him leave before Thursday's 11pm deadline.

Solanke has recently been linked with a possible big-money move to Tottenham Hotspur, who are believed to be in the market for a new centre-forward.

The likes of Arsenal and Manchester United are also said to be keeping tabs on Solanke, who has scored 12 Premier League goals in 20 matches so far this season.

Solanke, who was named December's Premier League Player of the Month, is under contract at the Vitality Stadium until the summer of 2027.

Speaking ahead of Bournemouth's top-flight trip to West Ham United on Thursday evening, Iraola played down suggestions that Solanke could leave the club in the winter window.

According to GiveMeSport, Bournemouth value their star striker at around £80m, almost four times the amount that they spent to sign the 26-year-old from Liverpool in 2019.
