David Beckham: 'Wayne Rooney should stay put at Manchester United'

David Beckham hopes that Wayne Rooney will commit to Manchester United following rumours of a possible exit.

Former Manchester United midfielder David Beckham believes that striker Wayne Rooney should stay at Old Trafford.

The England international is reported to be unsettled at United, who have publicly stated via new manager David Moyes that the forward is not for sale.

"I hope he stays because Wayne is such a talented player and I see him as a Manchester United player," Beckham told Sky Sports News.

"Obviously that'll be his decision and his decision only. As a Man United fan, I want to see the best players at the club and I hope he stays."

The 27-year-old has been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.
