Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo is not in talks with Bayern Munich over a potential move to the Bundesliga club, according to a report.

Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly not held talks with Bayern Munich over a potential move to the Bundesliga club.

The 37-year-old recently launched a scathing attack on the Red Devils during an explosive interview with Piers Morgan and has heavily criticised manager Erik ten Hag, the Glazer family and several board members as well as former teammates such as Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville.

Ronaldo claims that he feels "betrayed" by the club who attempted to force him out earlier this year, and has admitted that he has "no respect" for Ten Hag.

Man United are said to be 'hugely disappointed' by the comments made in Ronaldo's interview and the Portugal international may have played his final game for the club.

Ronaldo was strongly linked with a summer exit from Old Trafford with a host of clubs across the globe including Bayern Munich credited with an interest.

A recent report claimed that officials of the German giants met with Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes last week to discuss a potential switch to the Allianz Arena.

However, Bild journalist Christian Falk states that both parties have not held talks and Bayern have no interest in signing Ronaldo.

Bayern are allegedly unwilling to fork out the £500,000 per week that Ronaldo would likely demand in wages.

Speculation of Ronaldo heading to Bayern emerged after the perennial Bundesliga winners agreed to sell star striker Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona over the summer.

Bayern instead recruited Sadio Mane from Liverpool for around £35m and he has adapted quickly under Julian Nagelsmann, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists in 23 games across all competitions so far this season.

Bayern also added Matthijs de Ligt, Ryan Gravenberch, Mathys Tel and Noussair Mazraoui to their ranks over the summer, spending in excess of £120m, and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has ruled out the prospect of signing players in the January transfer window.

Speaking to Falk at the end of last month, Salihamidzic said: "No, we've done a lot this summer. We will not be active in the transfer market in winter."

Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain are another high-profile club who allegedly have no interest in luring Ronaldo away from Old Trafford.

A potential move to Chelsea could be in the offing, however, with one report claiming that Ronaldo's agent Mendes is set to offer the forward to the West Londoners ahead of the New Year.

Ronaldo, who is currently away on international duty preparing for the 2022 World Cup, has less than 12 months remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, and Ten Hag is understood to have told Man United that the forward should never play for the club again.
