Manchester United centre-back Eric Bailly emerges as a summer transfer target for Barcelona, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United centre-back Eric Bailly during this summer's transfer window.

The 27-year-old has only made seven appearances for the Red Devils during the 2021-22 campaign, with just four of those outings coming in the Premier League.

Bailly returned from the Africa Cup of Nations with an ankle injury, but he is now back to full fitness and was on the bench against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last week.

The Ivory Coast international failed to make the squad against Watford in the Premier League on Saturday, though, with a number of players ahead of him in the pecking order for a centre-back spot.

According to the Daily Star, Barcelona have been alerted to Bailly's frustration at Old Trafford and are lining up a summer move for the defender.

The report claims that Man United would want a fee in the region of £30m for the Ivorian, who has more than two years left to run on his current deal, with the option of a further year.

Bailly previously played in La Liga for both Espanyol and Villarreal before arriving at Old Trafford for £30m in the summer of 2016.
