Atletico Madrid are reportedly keen to keep hold of Kieran Trippier this summer but have put a contingency plan in place in the event that the defender moves on.
The England international has allegedly been identified by Manchester United as the ideal player to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back next season.
A recent report claimed that the Red Devils were closing in on a move for Trippier, but Atletico will seemingly fight hard to keep hold of the 30-year-old.
According to AS, Diego Simeone's side want to retain the defender but have identified two possible replacements should a move to Old Trafford occur in the coming weeks.
The report claims that Wolverhampton Wanderers' Nelson Semedo and Napoli's Giovanni Di Lorenzo are viewed as potential transfer targets, while Atletico already have two right-backs at the club in the shape of Santiago Arias and Sime Vrsaljko.
Man United are thought to have made an initial £20m offer for Trippier, but the La Liga champions are believed to be looking for a fee in excess of £30m.
