Atletico Madrid reportedly view Kieran Trippier as 'untransferable' despite suggestions that Manchester United are closing in on a deal for the England international.
The Red Devils are believed to have identified the 30-year-old as the ideal player to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back next season.
A recent report claimed that the 20-time English champions were on the verge of securing a deal for the defender, who played a key role in Atletico winning last season's La Liga title.
However, according to AS, Diego Simeone's side are not prepared to allow him to leave this summer due to his importance to the capital giants.
Atletico are not under any immediate pressure to sell, as Trippier has a contract at the club until June 2023, but the Englishman is thought to be keen on a return to the Premier League.
Man United have already agreed a deal to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund and are believed to be closing in on Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane.
