Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing Manchester United defender Chris Smalling this summer.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of the 24-year-old, who can play either as a centre-half or right-back.
Wenger attempted to sign Smalling from Fulham in January 2010, prior to the player's £11m switch to United.
Smalling has two years remaining on his current contract at Old Trafford, but, according to the Daily Star, Wenger hopes that the 10-time England international could be available for around £13m as United manager David Moyes looks to rejig his squad.
Under Moyes, Smalling has made 35 first-team appearances for the Red Devils this season.
