Agent: Manchester United, Chelsea want Mario Sampirisi

Genoa defender Mario Sampirisi has attracted the interest of Manchester United and Chelsea, according to the player's agent.

The agent of Genoa defender Mario Sampirisi has claimed that Manchester United and Chelsea are both interested in signing his client.

The 20-year-old began his career at AC Milan, but he has flourished since making the move to Genoa last year.

His performances have not gone unnoticed and Giuseppe Riso has revealed that a host of European clubs are in the running for his signature.

"Chelsea and Manchester United interested in him? Yeah, they sent their scouts to follow him live but I don't know if they'll try to take him in January," Riso told tuttomercatoweb.

"Genoa do not want to sell. But I am not surprised that the Premier League clubs have their eye on him. Mario has the typical physique that British teams like. But also some Italian clubs are following him."

Sampirisi has three Italian Under-20 caps to his name.
