How Manchester United could line up against Huddersfield Town

Ahead of the game between Huddersfield Town and Manchester United, Sports Mole looks at how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side could line up in Yorkshire.

Manchester United head into Sunday's Premier League fixture with Huddersfield Town looking to return to winning ways after a poor run of results.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has witnessed his side drop down to sixth spot in the top-flight standings, while United were comfortably beaten by Barcelona in the Champions League.

United are now three points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea, leaving the North-West giants in a position where they require a maximum return at the John Smith's Stadium.

Below, Sports Mole predicts what starting lineup could be named by Solskjaer for the fixture against the Terriers.

Out: Sergio Romero (knee), Eric Bailly (knee), Romelu Lukaku (hamstring), Mason Greenwood (unknown),
Doubtful: Phil Jones (knee), Chris Smalling (knock), Jesse Lingard (knee), Antonio Valencia (muscular)

Romelu Lukaku is unlikely to feature on Sunday due to a hamstring injury, but Marcus Rashford is available after shaking off a shoulder problem.

Eric Bailly misses out having sustained a serious knee injury last weekend, and that will lead to Phil Jones or Chris Smalling coming into the team as his replacement.

Goalkeeper David de Gea will retain his spot between the sticks, but Solskjaer has decisions to make regarding who features behind the main striker.

Alexis Sanchez is in contention for a rare start ahead of Anthony Martial, while Juan Mata will expect to feature having gotten on the scoresheet against Chelsea.

Solskjaer has revealed that he had intended to use Mason Greenwood this weekend, but the youngster has picked up an injury in training.
