Defensive duo Thomas Vermaelen and Bacary Sagna miss Arsenal's trip to Old Trafford.

Defenders Thomas Vermaelen and Bacary Sagna have been ruled out of Arsenal’s trip to face Manchester United.

The pair have been replaced by Johann Djourou and Armand Traore, while Spanish midfielder Francis Coquelin has come into the midfield for the suspended Emmanuel Frimpong.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has named the same side that defeated Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 on Monday evening.

England international Rio Ferdinand has declared himself fit again, but only has a place on the bench.

Man United: De Gea, Smalling, Jones, Evans, Evra; Nani, Cleverley, Anderson, Young; Rooney, Welbeck.

Arsenal: Szczesny, Jenkinson, Djourou, Koscielny, Traore; Ramsey, Coquelin, Rosicky; Walcott, van Persie, Arshavin.
