Team News: Jesse Lingard back for Manchester United

Jesse Lingard replaces Juan Mata in the Manchester United starting XI for their trip to West Bromwich Albion.

Jesse Lingard has replaced Juan Mata in the Manchester United starting XI for their trip to West Bromwich Albion this evening.

United manager Jose Mourinho makes three changes to the side that claimed a 2-1 win at Crystal Palace in midweek, with Wayne Rooney again starting up front alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Mata drops down to the bench to make way for Lingard alongside Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba.

There are two changes in the back four, with Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia - returning from suspension - coming in for Eric Bailly, who is out with a knee injury, and Daley Blind, who drops to the bench.

For Tony Pulis's side there is just one change from the lineup that beat Swansea City 3-1 in midweek, with Craig Dawson returning from suspension to take his place in the back four.

As a result, Chris Brunt moves further upfield, with James Morrison the man to make way.

Meanwhile, Jonny Evans misses the chance to face his former club after being ruled out with a calf injury.

West Bromwich Albion: Foster; Dawson, McAuley, Olsson, Nyom; Yacob, Fletcher; Brunt, Chadli, Phillips; Rondon
Subs: Myhill; Robson-Kanu, Morrison, Gardner, McClean, Galloway, Leko

Manchester United: De Gea; Valencia, Jones, Rojo, Darmian; Carrick, Herrera, Lingard, Pogba; Rooney, Ibrahimovic
Subs: Romero, Blind, Smalling, Fellaini, Mata, Martial, Rashford
