Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Burnley could line up for Sunday's Premier League trip to face Manchester United at Old Trafford,.

Burnley are sweating over the fitness of two key players ahead of Sunday's Premier League trip to face Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Goalkeeper Nick Pope and winger Dwight McNeil are both major doubts for the contest, but manager Sean Dyche will give them every opportunity to prove their fitness despite insisting that he will not risk players for the sake of it.

Pope missed last weekend's defeat to Newcastle United having fallen awkwardly on his shoulder against Southampton, with the England international "touch and go" to recover in time for the trip to Old Trafford.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell will stand in again should Pope fall short, while McNeil has picked up a knock and will also undergo a late fitness test ahead of the match.

Ashley Barnes, Robbie Brady and Kevin Long all remain sidelined for the visitors, but Jay Rodriguez is now back available for selection.

The forward may have to settle for a place on the bench, though, given that Matej Vydra has scored three goals in his last five Premier League games - as many as he had netted in his previous 53 before that.

Chris Wood, meanwhile, has scored on his last two league visits to Old Trafford and could become only the sixth player - after Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Mark Viduka, Emmanuel Adebayor, Sergio Aguero and Gylfi Sigurdsson - to find the back of the net in three consecutive away Premier League games against Man United.

By contrast, Josh Brownhill is still searching for his first Premier League goal, having now had more shots without scoring than any other player in the league this season.

Burnley possible starting lineup:
Peacock-Farrell; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Pieters; Gudmundsson, Brownhill, Westwood, McNeil; Wood, Vydra
