Sports Mole picks out the 11 best players from this weekend's Premier League action.

There were a number of stellar performances across the Premier League this weekend as fans were served up with another unpredictable two days of football.

Champions Manchester City left it late again at West Bromwich Albion, while Manchester United overcame an early wobble to see off Stoke City.

A huge sigh of relief was breathed at Anfield as Liverpool recorded their first home win of the campaign and Arsenal suffered a surprise defeat at Norwich.

Here, Sports Mole picks out the 11 players who left their mark on the action.

Brad Jones (Liverpool)
His teammates may have taken the plaudits for earning a first home league win of the season, but the Aussie shotstopper played a huge part in the 1-0 victory over Reading at Anfield.

Phil Jagielka (Everton)
The England international's stock just keeps rising and he proved once again versus QPR that he is establishing himself as one of the best defenders in the league.
Fabricio Coloccini (Newcastle)
The Magpies missed their no-nonsense captain in their recent defeat to Manchester United, but he was at his ruthless best in Sunday's derby draw with Sunderland.
Chris Baird (Fulham)
The Cottagers' unsung hero finally got his dues when he opportunistically bagged the winner in Saturday's 1-0 win over Aston Villa.

Juan Mata (Chelsea)
Saturday's trip to Spurs saw Chelsea flirt with defeat, but Mata helped his side turn it around and hang on to their unbeaten start to the season.
Yohan Cabaye (Newcastle)
A goal and a tireless midfield display saw the Frenchman earn his corn in Sunday's Tyne-Wear derby.
Yaya Toure (Man City)
It wasn't a vintage performance from the champions during Saturday's win at West Brom, but Toure continually drove forward from midfield to help City remain unbeaten.
Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)
The wing wizard added to his growing reputation on Merseyside with the only goal in the Reds' triumph over Reading.

Shane Long (West Brom)
Long was rewarded for his relentless showing against Manchester City with a clever goal to give his side the lead at the Hawthorns. However, he didn't deserve to be on the losing side as the Baggies were pipped at the post.
Wayne Rooney (Man Utd)
Dip in form? What dip in form? Rooney scored twice and set up another as United saw off Stoke at Old Trafford.
Edin Dzeko (Man City)
He may only have been on the pitch for 11 minutes, but the Bosnian striker showed why he is one of the most lethal finishers in the league as two goals grabbed his team the three points at West Brom.
