Saturday's Premier League predictions including Tottenham vs. Manchester United

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Premier League fixtures, including Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester United.

Fulham vs. Brentford (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Less than a week on from their first capital clash of the season, Brentford head to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham in Saturday's Premier League West London derby.

Thomas Frank's side held Tottenham Hotspur to a 2-2 draw last weekend, while the Cottagers were fortunate to run out 1-0 winners against Everton.

We say: Fulham 0-2 Brentford

Most if not all Fulham fans will accept that their side were incredibly fortunate to kick off their season with a win last weekend, but their luck should quickly run out against a progressive Brentford team.

A misfiring Raul Jimenez is unlikely to be the solution to Fulham's attacking predicament if Willian and Mitrovic both depart, and without Palhinha manning the midfield, Brentford could notch a couple of goals en route to their first West London derby win of the campaign.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Liverpool vs. Bournemouth (Saturday, 3.00pm)

With last year's Merseyside mauling still fresh in the memory, Bournemouth return to Anfield to battle Liverpool in gameweek two of the 2023-24 Premier League season on Saturday afternoon.

The Reds were arguably fortunate to draw 1-1 with Chelsea last week, while the Cherries played out an identical stalemate with West Ham United on the South Coast.

We say: Liverpool 3-1 Bournemouth

While Bournemouth are still finding their feet under Iraola, there were some encouraging signs in their stalemate with West Ham, and there will almost certainly not be a repeat of last year's obliteration in this fixture.

Still lacking a defensive presence in midfield, Liverpool's hopes of a clean sheet may be unrealistic, but Klopp's side should still march to their opening win of the season against their injury-hit opponents.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Wolves vs. Brighton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Wolverhampton Wanderers will go in search of their first Premier League points under Gary O'Neil when Brighton & Hove Albion visit Molineux on Saturday afternoon.

Wolves suffered an unmerited 1-0 defeat to Manchester United on the opening weekend, while Brighton thrashed newly-promoted Luton Town 4-1 in their first match.

We say: Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-2 Brighton & Hove Albion

There is no denying that Wolves gave a good account of themselves against Man Utd, but O'Neil's men could struggle to replicate that performance on Saturday.

With that in mind, we expect Brighton to secure a narrow victory at Molineux, as the Seagulls' cohesive patterns of play should be too much for Wolves to handle.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Spurs vs. Man Utd (Saturday, 5.30pm)

The headline fixture in gameweek two of the 2023-24 Premier League season sees Tottenham Hotspur welcome Manchester United to their North London headquarters on Saturday evening.

Ange Postecoglou's side began their new campaign with a 2-2 draw away to London rivals Brentford last weekend, while the Red Devils scraped a controversial 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

We say: Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Manchester United

While another new centre-back would not go amiss in North London, the early attacking indications for Tottenham under Postecoglou are promising, and James Maddison in particular ought to have been licking his lips while watching Wolves create chance after chance on Monday night.

Not one of Man United's attackers did themselves justice on the opening matchweek either, and while the permeable Spurs backline is still unlikely to emerge unscathed, we have faith in Postecoglou to mastermind a noteworthy win in his first Premier League home contest.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Man City vs. Newcastle (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Two of the Premier League's big winners on the opening weekend square off in an intriguing Etihad encounter on Saturday night, as Manchester City host Newcastle United.

The Magpies demolished Aston Villa 5-1 at St James' Park last weekend, while Pep Guardiola's side recently clinched UEFA Super Cup glory against Sevilla.

We say: Manchester City 3-2 Newcastle United

There were plenty of goals in this fixture 12 months ago, and a similarly entertaining encounter could ensue on Saturday, as Howe's goal-happy Newcastle should take plenty of encouragement from watching Sevilla's bright attacking display in the Super Cup.

Man City's midweek fatigue and absence of De Bruyne will do them no favours either, but a rejigged squad should still have too much firepower for Newcastle, who are not the same dogged defensive unit they once were.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
