Saturday's Premier League predictions including Newcastle vs. Manchester United

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Premier League fixtures, including Newcastle vs. Manchester United.

Arsenal vs. Wolves (Saturday, 3.00pm)

On the back of an emphatic victory over Lens to seal their spot in the last 16 of the Champions League, Arsenal return to Premier League duty with the visit of Wolverhampton Wanderers to the Emirates on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta's side ran riot in a 6-0 beating of Lens to top their European group, while Gary O'Neil's men have had a few days to reflect on an excruciating 3-2 loss to Fulham, where VAR controversy reared its ugly head once more.

We say: Arsenal 2-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Any dreams of another six-goal slaughter are fanciful for Arsenal fans, whose side should face a more conservative Wolves than a disjointed Lens outfit, but O'Neil's backline is far from sturdy.

The visitors can sometimes make up for their rearguard shortcomings with ruthlessness in the final third, but we cannot see any way for their scoring streak to continue in North London, where Arteta's men should find their way through on a couple of occasions to retain their first-placed position.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Brentford vs. Luton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

One week on from claiming their first-ever Premier League home win, Luton Town return to the road to meet Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Hatters ran out 2-1 victors over Crystal Palace in front of a buoyant Kenilworth Road crowd last time out, while the Bees' efforts were futile in a 1-0 loss to London rivals Arsenal.

We say: Brentford 2-0 Luton Town

For 89 minutes of Brentford's clash with Arsenal, Thomas Frank's side maintained a marvellous defensive structure, and only a lack of a cutting edge at the other end of the field denied them at least a point against the league leaders.

Morale may be higher in the Luton camp after their historic feats last weekend, but the Hatters' defence should not emerge unscathed from Saturday's meeting in the capital, where Brentford ought to return to winning ways in professional fashion.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Burnley vs. Sheff Utd (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Both reeling from harrowing home defeats in their most recent Premier League affairs, Burnley and Sheffield United square off at Turf Moor in Saturday's basement battle.

Vincent Kompany's side let a one-goal lead slip in a 2-1 loss to West Ham United last weekend, while discontent around Bramall Lane grew as the Blades went down 3-1 to Bournemouth.

We say: Burnley 1-1 Sheffield United

Victory is not beyond the realm of possibility for either Burnley or Sheffield United this weekend, but both managers will be fully aware of the possible implications of defeat at Turf Moor.

A cagey affair could therefore be in store, and while we expect Burnley to finally break their miserable streak of home defeats, the Blades are capable of heading home with a hard-earned point, not that it will do much good for their survival prospects at this moment in time.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Nott'm Forest vs. Everton (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Everton travel to Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening searching for their first Premier League win since being hit with a 10-point penalty.

Sean Dyche's side were beaten 3-0 by Manchester United at a raucous Goodison Park on Sunday and remain in deep trouble following the punishment.

We say: Nottingham Forest 1-2 Everton

The hosts must work to rectify their defensive problems of late, while Everton have been very impressive on the road this season.

Forest will miss the threat of Awoniyi in attack as it could be a very similar game to the 2-2 here last season when both sides were fighting for their lives, but the visitors may just edge it this time around.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Newcastle vs. Man Utd (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Both aiming to bounce back from painful evenings in the Champions League, Newcastle United and Manchester United meet at St James' Park for a mouthwatering Premier League showdown on Saturday night.

The Magpies were cruelly denied a momentous win over Paris Saint-Germain in a 1-1 draw with the Ligue 1 champions on Tuesday, before the Red Devils let a 3-1 lead slip in a 3-3 stalemate versus Galatasaray.

We say: Newcastle United 2-1 Manchester United

Even with a bench packed full of inexperienced teenagers and an infirmary overflowing with top-class talent, Newcastle could count themselves incredibly unfortunate to leave PSG with just a point, and Howe's depleted troops seldom need any lessons in clinical attacking displays at home.

A ravaged Man United side have already felt the full force of the Magpies once this season, and despite their recent progress on the goalscoring front, Ten Hag's men remain far too easy to carve open; frailties which Newcastle should happily expose on Saturday.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.
