Premier League in numbers: Week 13

Sports Mole looks back on the Premier League weekend with a selection of facts and figures.

Aston Villa 0-0 Sunderland

Christian Benteke has struggled for goals of late and his latest failure to find the net means that he has now gone seven Premier League matches without scoring - his longest barren spell since he joined Villa last summer.

The visiting Black Cats have also found goals hard to come by and have not scored in any of their last five fixtures on the road.

As a result, Villa kept their second home clean sheet in succession, having gone 16 straight clashes at Villa Park without a shutout.

Cardiff City 0-3 Arsenal

Aaron Ramsey took his Premier League tally for the season to eight, one of which was his first ever scored using his head.

That particular goal was assisted by Mesut Ozil, who now has laid on more goals than any other player in the division (six).

The hosting Bluebirds have not beaten Arsenal in any of their last 12 matches.

Everton 4-0 Stoke City

Strikes from Seamus Coleman and Bryan Oviedo meant that five of Everton's goals this season have been scored by defenders - more than any other club.

Also on form for the Toffees was loanee striker Romelu Lukaku, who now has eight goals in nine outings.

Meanwhile, visiting Stoke have won just one of their last 10 Premier League contests.

Norwich City 1-0 Crystal Palace

For the second match in succession at Carrow Road, Gary Hooper scored for Norwich City.

It was a goal that saw the Canaries end a run of five league encounters without a victory against Palace.

The match also marked the first time that Chris Hughton's side have won consecutive Premier League matches since December 2012.

West Ham United 3-0 Fulham

Fulham have struggled during recent fixtures at Upton Park, having failed to pick up a positive result from their last nine trips across the capital.

They have also had problems containing Carlton Cole, who has scored seven goals against them - more than he has managed against any other club.

The Whites have now won just six of their 57 London derbies away from home.

Newcastle United 2-1 West Bromwich Albion

Yoan Gouffran has found the net on his last three Premier League outings at St James' Park.

The Frenchman's goal helped Newcastle win their fourth game in a row - something that they have not achieved since March 2012.

West Brom's goal, scored by Northern Irishman Chris Brunt, was their only shot on target.

Tottenham Hotspur 2-2 Manchester United

Hosting Spurs have still not beaten Man United at White Hart Lane since 2001.

In contrast, Wayne Rooney has shown good form against Tottenham, taking his goal tally against the North Londoners to nine.

The England international striker has now scored 149 Premier League goals for the Red Devils. Only Thierry Henry (175 for Arsenal) has scored more for one club.

Hull City 3-1 Liverpool

At the 17th time of asking in all competitions, Steve Bruce's Hull recorded a victory over Liverpool.

It was a result that saw Hull score more than one goal for only the second time this term.

As for the Merseysiders, they have now kept just one clean sheet in their last 10 matches.

Chelsea 3-1 Southampton

Southampton's goal, scored by Jay Rodriguez after just 14 seconds, was the away side's only shot on target.

The home team's fightback was spearheaded by captain John Terry, who scored his 34th Premier League goal. Excluding penalties, no defender has scored more.

The Blues have now won eight points from losing positions.

Manchester City 3-0 Swansea City

City's three goals saw their goal return at the Etihad Stadium this campaign rise to 29 from seven games.

Their Argentine forward, Sergio Aguero, was not among the scorers, though. It was only the second time in his last 10 matches that he had not found the net.

The Swans have now not scored in three of their last four outings on the road.
