Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that Nemanja Vidic could feature for Manchester United against Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Serbian defender has been out of action for almost three months with a knee injury, but the Red Devils manager says that he could start at Old Trafford.
"It would have been crazy to play him against [Manchester] City, but against Sunderland - definitely," The Mirror quotes him as saying. "It's a big bonus.
"In the last 18 months he has only had 10 games or something - it is not many games that he has had.
"He is a battler, a real competitor. That uncompromising way of his... he likes defending, that's what it is."
Vidic's last game for United was their Champions League clash against Galatasaray at Old Trafford in September.
