Louis van Gaal pays tribute to Manchester United fans

Seconds of the Old Trafford crowd boo Louis van Gaal as he gives his end-of-season address.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has addressed the club's supporters following their final match of the Premier League campaign, a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth at Old Trafford.

A number of fans booed the Dutchman as he made the speech, during which he paid tribute to the home faithful and thanked them for their support.

"On behalf of my players, staff and myself, thank you for your unconditional support," he said on the pitch after the full-time whistle.

"Wherever we have played, however things have gone on the field, you never let us down. We hope to bring the FA Cup home to you."

Van Gaal has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford after failing to secure a place in next season's Champions League, with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho tipped as the favourite to succeed him.

Wayne Rooney, Marcus Rashford, and Ashley Young were on target against Bournemouth as United ensured a fifth-place finish in the Premier League.

They take on Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final this weekend.
