Ole Gunnar Solskjaer backs Mason Greenwood to become 'complete' striker

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tips Mason Greenwood to become a 'complete' striker after he scored again on Sunday.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has tipped Mason Greenwood to become a 'complete' striker after he scored again on Sunday.

The teenager netted his 11th goal in 15 starts for the Red Devils in their 3-0 win over Watford and their Norwegian coach feels that he is already ready for an extended run of starts in the first-team.

Solskjaer told: "If he keeps fit, it's up to him [to keep his place].

"The whole season he's had says a lot for him. He is just going to be better and better. He is only 18, not fully grown into his body. He's not like Wayne Rooney at 18. In a couple of years' time he will be more or less the complete number nine."

With Marcus Rashford still out injured, Greenwood will be expected to shoulder more of the scoring burden alongside Anthony Martial as United look to progress in the Europa League and push for a top four place in the Premier League.
