Luke Shaw ruled out for a month through injury

Manchester United confirm that defender Luke Shaw will be out of action for up to a month through injury.

Manchester United have confirmed that defender Luke Shaw will be sidelined for up to a month with a hamstring injury.

The 19-year-old joined the Red Devils for around £30m from Southampton back in June, making him the most expensive teenager in world football.

Shaw, who sat out United's friendly win over Valencia on Tuesday night, will now miss the team's opening few games of the season.

Louis van Gaal's side start their Premier League campaign on Saturday when they entertain Swansea City.
