Bastian Schweinsteiger "proud" of Manchester United victory over Liverpool

Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger hails the team's performance during their 3-1 win over Liverpool, reserving special praise for Anthony Martial.

Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has offered special congratulations to Anthony Martial following his debut goal against Liverpool this evening.

The £36m 19-year-old announced himself to the Premier League with a fine solo goal to wrap up the three points as United ran out 3-1 winners over their fierce rivals at Old Trafford.

Schweinsteiger, who also arrived this summer, was playing in the derby match for the first time and spoke of his pride at the team's performance.

Daley Blind and Ander Herrera also found the net in a victory that sees United leap up to second in the Premier League table.
