Louis Saha: 'David Moyes wouldn't accept Sir Alex Ferguson control'

Louis Saha believes that Manchester United manager David Moyes would not allow Sir Alex Ferguson to keep control of the club.

Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has insisted that manager David Moyes would not "accept" Sir Alex Ferguson trying to keep control of the club following his retirement.

Ex-United captain Roy Keane recently suggested that Ferguson's presence as a director at Old Trafford is having a negative effect on Moyes's management.

However, Saha believes that Ferguson, who left his post following a 27-year tenure in the summer, will provide advice to his successor as opposed to trying to control matters.

"Roy Keane has huge respect for Manchester United, but he always has had the quality of speaking his mind," BBC Sport quotes Saha as saying.

"I don't think if something has been done by Sir Alex Ferguson it's to disrupt anything, it's to give help and advice. Controlling everything, I don't think David Moyes would accept that.

"He likes to do things his own way, and that's for sure that he will listen to advice but I don't think he will let anyone else control what happens at the club."

United are currently eighth in the Premier League table, 10 points adrift of leaders Arsenal.
