Wayne Rooney unhappy with "dropped points" against Aston Villa

Wayne Rooney admits that he is unhappy with "two dropped points" after Manchester United's 1-1 draw with Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Wayne Rooney has admitted that he was unhappy to have "dropped two points" as Manchester United could only muster a 1-1 draw at 10-man Aston Villa this afternoon.

Radamel Falcao levelled for the Red Devils after Christian Benteke had put the home side ahead, but United struggled to break down their opponents as the second half wore on, despite the dismissal of Gabriel Agbonlahor.

"We got the early goal in the second half we wanted, but maybe that final pass or cross we didn't get right when they went to 10 men," Rooney told BBC Sport. "It's certainly two points dropped.

"We were trying to do the right things but they put bodies behind the ball and it can sometimes be more difficult to break them down.

"I think it's more you guys talking about titles. We know what our aims are and we are focused on our goals."

Despite the draw, Man Utd remain third in the Premier League, but the result has brought their six-game winning streak to an end.
