Wayne Rooney has recovered from a sinus infection to be included in the Manchester United squad for Saturday's Premier League match with Queens Park Rangers.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson claimed on Thursday that the striker was unlikely to feature in the match at Loftus Road due to illness.

However, Rooney trained with his teammates on Friday before travelling down to London by train.

A win for the Red Devils on Saturday would put them 15 points clear at the top of the table.
