Wayne Rooney has backed in-form Manchester United teammate Anthony Martial to produce plenty more "magic moments" throughout his stint at Old Trafford.
The 19-year-old has proven an instant hit with the Red Devils, netting four goals in five games following a £36m deadline-day switch from AS Monaco.
"He's been incredible. He's a young lad, we have to remember that," Rooney told United's official website.
"I think he'll be a big player for us this season and in the future but we need to let him enjoy his football and I'm sure he'll have magic moments for us."
He drew a blank in this afternoon's 3-0 Premier League win over Sunderland, with Memphis Depay, Rooney and Juan Mata doing the damage at the Theatre of Dreams.
Three of Martial's goals have come in the top flight, with the other one coming in Wednesday's 3-0 League Cup win at home to Ipswich Town.
