Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho says that he has "no bad feelings" towards Chelsea after the club sacked him in December.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that he has "no bad feelings" towards his former employers Chelsea as he prepares to face the club for the first time since his sacking.

The 53-year-old was dismissed by the Blues in December while the club were one point above the relegation zone in the 2015-16 season.

Across two spells in charge of Chelsea, Mourinho guided the club to three Premier League titles, three League Cups and an FA Cup trophy.

Now, though, the Portuguese coach will face the West London outfit in the opposing dugout as he takes his United side to Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

In an interview with Sky Sports News, Mourinho said: "I don't think they want to, but even if they want to, they couldn't delete me from Chelsea FC history. They belong to my history too. No bad feelings.

"The owner, he decided to sack me; the fans, they have no power. They show day by day, match after match, that they wanted me, but in this profile of club, the fans have no power.

"In some clubs, especially in some Latin countries, the format of the club, the fans have real power on the board and with the president and owners, but here they have no power so Mr Abramovich decided to sack me, but I left with not one bad word about anyone or anybody at the club."

Chelsea, who now have Antonio Conte in charge, sit fifth in the league table, two points above seventh-placed United.
