Jose Mourinho doesn't expect to manage Chelsea for third time

Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho 'hopes' that he does not have to manage the club again, as that should mean he has proved to be a success at Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho has admitted that he is hopeful of remaining in charge of Manchester United for "many, many years" and therefore does not expect to manage Chelsea for a third time.

The Portuguese spent seven years at Stamford Bridge across two separate stints, winning a total of seven trophies - including three Premier League titles - before being sacked last December.

Ahead of his return to West London with United on Sunday afternoon, Mourinho insists that he is unlikely to take on the Chelsea job again should the opportunity arise as he intends to remain at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future.

"I hope not, honestly," he told Sky Sports News. "I would like to stay [at United] for many, many years. That would mean probably that I would not be searching for another club in the Premier League, so I hope not."

Mourinho also revealed that he was indeed sacked by the Blues, rather than mutually taking the decision to step aside, following a dismal first half to last season's title defence.
