Manchester United add Chelsea's Thomas Tuchel and Sevilla's Julen Lopetegui to their managerial shortlist, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly added Chelsea's Thomas Tuchel and Sevilla's Julen Lopetegui to their managerial shortlist.

The Red Devils - knocked out of the Champions League by Atletico Madrid on Tuesday evening - will appoint a new head coach in the coming months, with Ralf Rangnick stepping aside from his role as interim manager.

Paris Saint-Germain's Mauricio Pochettino and Ajax's Erik ten Hag continue to be strongly linked with the position at Old Trafford, but according to The Guardian, both Tuchel and Lopetegui, alongside Spain's Luis Enrique, are being considered by the 20-time English champions.

The report claims that Chelsea's off-the-field problems have led to Man United monitoring Tuchel's situation, with the Red Devils looking to take advantage of the uncertainty at Stamford Bridge.

Lopetegui, meanwhile, has also allegedly emerged as a target, with the Spaniard enjoying an impressive season for Sevilla, sitting second in La Liga, while the club will be bidding to make the quarter-finals of the Europa League when they head to West Ham United on Thursday night.

Man United's elimination from the Champions League has left them with just a top-four spot in the Premier League to battle for this season, but the Red Devils are a point behind fourth-placed Arsenal, who also have three games in hand.
