Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert denies rough Adnan Januzaj treatment

Paul Lambert denies that Aston Villa went out to harm Manchester United teenager Adnan Januzaj.

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has denied claims that Adnan Januzaj was singled out for rough treatment at Villa Park this afternoon.

Manchester United manager David Moyes expressed his frustration with match officials following his team's 3-0 victory, stating that they should have done more to protect the Belgian teenager.

"My team are not a physical team," Lambert told Sky Sports News. "We are a young side and maybe sometimes over exuberance gets the better of them, but I have never sent anyone out to kick them."

Villa's defeat leaves them 11th in the Premier League.
