Manchester United youngster Shola Shoretire has reportedly agreed a new long-term contract at Old Trafford.

Shoretire made history in the UEFA Youth League last season when he turned out for the Red Devils in the competition at the age of 14 years and 314 days.

The scholar, who is eligible to represent both England and Nigeria at international level, has previously trained with United's Under-23 outfit.

Shoretire only actually turned 16 in February, but according to the Manchester Evening News, he has now committed to a new long-term contract at Old Trafford.

The report claims that the professional deal will start on July 1, with the 20-time English champions fighting off competition from a number of foreign clubs to tie the forward to a fresh contract.

Shoretire joined United from Newcastle United at the age of 10 in 2014.
