Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has revealed that he expects to learn a lot from new teammate Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The experienced Germany international joined the Red Devils last week, bringing an end to a 17-year association with Bayern Munich.
Herrera believes that playing alongside the 30-year-old this season will help him to develop his game.
"He is someone I looked up to coming through the ranks," the Spaniard is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "He is one of the five or six best midfielders in the world and of course I have to learn a lot from him, Michael Carrick and others.
"I always want to play with the best players and Bastian is one of the best in the world. I'm sure I am going to learn a lot of things from him. He is always safe with the ball. He always knows what is happening behind him and I have to learn that from him."
United continued their pre-season tour of the USA on Tuesday with a 3-1 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes.
