Javier Hernandez targets treble with Manchester United

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez says that he would opt to emulate the club's 1999 treble win over any personal achievements.

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has revealed that his "dream" is to win the treble with the North-West club.

The 24-year-old, who failed to secure a regular starting spot within Sir Alex Ferguson's team last season, has insisted that he wants to emulate United's famous treble win in 1999, where the Red Devils clinched the Premier League title, Champions League and the FA Cup.

"My real dream, and I swear it is not about scoring the biggest goal, is to win the treble," Hernandez told the club's official website.

"One year at least, I want to win the league, I want to win the Champions League. We were so close in my first year and I want to win the FA Cup.

"I think the treble is the most complicated thing in the world for any club to win. So that is my dream, to lift all those trophies in one season."

Despite the Mexico international's eagerness for trophies at Old Trafford, recent reports have claimed that the forward could be offloaded this summer.
