Manchester United's Ryan Giggs: 'We can't feel sorry for ourselves for long'

Ryan Giggs urges Manchester United to "get over" their defeat to Everton as they drop 12 points away from Premier League leaders Arsenal.

Manchester United player-coach Ryan Giggs has called on the team to "get over" their disappointing defeat to Everton.

The Red Devils slumped 12 points below Premier League leaders Arsenal in the table following a 1-0 loss to Everton at Old Trafford.

Manager David Moyes, who went up against his former club for the first time last night, will have to round up his players as they try to respond against Newcastle United on Saturday.

"It's a quick turnaround, but we've got to pick ourselves up," The Guardian quotes Giggs as saying. "We cannot feel sorry for ourselves for too long.

"It's a home game and hopefully it will be a different result. We need to get on a run, before this we were on a 12-game unbeaten run. We have to get over this disappointment now."

United are currently ninth in the standings, five points away from a Champions League spot.
