Sir Alex Ferguson is adamant that his Manchester United players will not suffer with nerves during the remainder of the season.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is adamant that his players will not be troubled by nerves during the remaining games of the title race.

A combination of United's 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion and Manchester City's 1-0 loss at Swansea City earlier today has seen the Red Devils move top of the Premier League table with ten matches remaining.

Speaking after his side's win, Ferguson believes that his squad will benefit from having won the league title before.

"I hope it is a significant day, and I don't mind being top of the league," he told BBC Sport. "We've turned it around and credit to the players for that. They have shown great resilience and determination.

"We had a period of injuries but we have come through that now. We won't get nervous, we have the experience, we will keep on playing and it is good to see that type of temperament."

Next up for United is a Europa League tie away at Atletico Bilbao.
