Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has expressed his relief that none of his players suffered any serious injuries in the "war zone" against West Ham United in the Premier League.
The Scotsman was unhappy with the Hammers' physical approach during their 2-2 draw this week, particularly with striker Andy Carroll, who Ferguson believed deserved to see red over a challenge on goalkeeper David de Gea.
"There are a few bumps and bruises from West Ham on Wednesday," Ferguson said in a press conference. "Nemanja Vidic has a beautiful bruise on his cheekbone. I am quite happy to get out of that war zone without a serious injury."
Meanwhile, Ferguson has once again dismissed rumours that Wayne Rooney will sign for Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
