Sir Alex Ferguson thinks that his attacking trio of Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Danny Welbeck are ready to hit top form after all three score against Stoke City.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has declared that his attacking trio of Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck are starting to find form.

All three were on the scoresheet for United in a 4-2 victory over Stoke City in their first home start together.

Ferguson believes that once his forward line clicks they will be a match for any team in the Premier League.

He told BBC Sport: "They had more flexible roles today but it all depends on their movement.

"If we can get that movement right we will be a handful for teams."

United moved into second place with the win against Stoke, above local rivals Manchester City on goal difference.
