Rio Ferdinand: 'Manchester City will win Premier League by six or seven points'

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand says that Manchester City will win the Premier League title.

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has said that he believes Manchester City will win the Premier League.

City currently hold a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table with their rivals in second.

Ferdinand is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "United will finish in the top four but I don't think they'll go close to winning the league.

"It hurts me to say it, but I just can't see beyond City at the moment. On current form, I can't see beyond City for the title and they are also our best hope in the Champions League."

The teams meet at Old Trafford on October 25.
