Patrice Evra: 'Manchester United stronger than last season'

Patrice Evra says that the signing of Robin van Persie and Shinji Kagawa has made Manchester United "stronger" than they were last season.

Manchester United defender Patrice Evra believes that his side are "stronger" than they were last season.

The Red Devils are currently seven points clear of second-placed Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

"We finished with the same number of points as [City last season] even though everyone said we had a bad season and they had a very good one," he told Canal+ Sport.

"If we have a good season, we'll be champions. We're stronger than last year - that's obvious given the additions of players like [Robin] van Persie and [Shinji] Kagawa."

United won the Premier League in 2010-11.
