Jonny Evans: 'Manchester United making progress'

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans stresses that improvements are being made under Louis van Gaal's management.

Jonny Evans has expressed his belief that Manchester United have made progress since Louis van Gaal took charge of the club last summer.

The Red Devils have been criticised by some pundits for the standard of many of their displays this term, yet they are currently third in the Premier League table and have reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

With that in mind, centre-back Evans has insisted that having finished seventh under the management of David Moyes last season, United are now on the right track.

"I think [we are making progress]. You can see from the performances at the start of the season that we weren't playing well and weren't getting the results," he told Sky Sports News.

"Now, the manager has got us organised and everyone knows their jobs. Once we get that cemented, then we can [start] entertaining again."

On Saturday, Van Gaal's men face a trip to the Liberty Stadium for a clash with Swansea City.
