Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has expressed his belief that his side can beat bitter rivals Manchester United when the two sides meet on Saturday.
Liverpool have a good recent record against United, and Dalglish believes this could help his side this weekend.
However, the Liverpool legend acknowledges that any victory would have to be earned.
"It is a huge game. Everyone looks forward to it on both sides and it is important for both clubs to get something from the game," said the Liverpool boss.
"For us, we know we are capable of getting something as we've done it, we have beaten them twice and drawn once at Anfield so that gives us a bit of encouragement.
"But anything we want from the game we will have to earn it on the day and we will work as hard as we have done to get the previous results and see if we can get success."
The game will be the first time Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra will have faced each other since the striker was banned for eight matches after racially abusing the United defender.
