Kenny Dalglish says that Liverpool are "totally" behind Luis Suarez after Patrice Evra's racism allegations.

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is adamant that the club is "totally and utterly" in support of Luis Suarez as the FA prepares to launch an investigation into racism allegations.

The Uruguayan striker was accused of making a racist remark towards Manchester United's Patrice Evra in the side's 1-1 draw with the Premier League champions.

"The only thing I will say - and then it is put to bed - is that the football club and everyone at the football club is totally and utterly fully behind Luis Suarez," The Telegraph quotes Dalglish as saying.

"There was an allegation after the game about him diving all over the place and there was an allegation from Patrice Evra. Obviously the two things are emotive but we support the wee man on both things.

"At the start of the week the club made their position known and apart from what I have said we won't be adding to it."

The Liverpool frontman could escape punishment if Evra fails to provide evidence to support the allegations.
