Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is expected to escape punishment by the Football Association unless Manchester United's Patrice Evra can provide witness statements regarding his racism allegation.
The France international accused the Uruguayan of racially abusing him during the side's 1-1 draw at Anfield last weekend.
The FA will interview the defender over the incident as well as take into account video evidence and the views of referee Andre Marriner, who officiated the match last Saturday, according to The Guardian.
Due to the sensitivity of the allegations, the governing body will reportedly need sufficient evidence from witnesses to prove the 30-year-old's claims.
