Former Manchester United striker Andrew Cole has claimed that manager David Moyes must win a trophy during his first season at the club.
The Scot officially replaces Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford on July 1 but has already started to familiarise himself with his new surroundings.
"If you speak to United fans, he has to win a trophy in the first year," Cole told The Mirror. "There is no waiting around at Manchester United.
"I can't see there will be any grace period. I believe he will do a great job but it will have to be done quickly."
Cole won five Premier League titles, two FA Cups and the Champions League during a six-year spell at United from 1995 to 2001.
