Charlie Savage was able to make his debut for Manchester United in the Champions League, marking his first senior appearance for the club.

Charlie Savage made his debut for Manchester United tonight in their final Champions League group game.

The young midfielder came on in the second half alongside Zidane Iqbal as they replaced Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata in order to make their first senior appearances.

The 18-year-old is the son of former footballer and current pundit Robbie Savage and the performance came after he was added to the Champions League squad for the first time.

Manchester United were unable to defeat their opponents on the night, being held to a 1-1 draw against Young Boys, despite the fact they took an early lead via Mason Greenwood.

Despite the fact the Red Devils failed to secure a victory, the club did still manage to win Group F, guaranteeing their place in the next round of the competition.
