Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has expressed his delight at the return of Paul Scholes.
The United veteran came out of retirement in January following his decision to hang up his boots at the end of last season.
"It is great to have Paul back," said Carrick. "I wouldn't say I missed him because you have to move on quickly but he is one of the greats of English football and to play with him again is great.
"We have a good understanding and enjoy playing with each other.
"We have had some good games already this season and hopefully there are more to come."
Carrick should feature for the Red Devils against former club Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
